Sarah Pickering had only known one home in 46 years. She’d lived on the Hineston property since birth.
In an instant it was all gone. Devastatingly, the fire that took her home also took the life of her father. Her two children and grandbaby escaped but not without emotional scars for them all.
The RPSO is hosting a jambalaya fundraiser for Pickering, one of their own, on February Thursday, Feb. 6 from 11 AM- 1 PM at the RPSO Warehouse, 435 John Allison Drive. Plates are $10; pans are $200. Delivery is available for 10 or more orders. For tickets, contact Deputy Cindi Deville at 318-619-0525, Deputy Amanda Rhame at 318-709-4836, or Sgt. Jacky Dousay at 318-794-3586.
All proceeds go to Deputy Pickering and her family.
A GoFundMe page has also been created for the Pickering family. Visit https://gofund.me/f92b5177. If you have trouble with the link, the name of the campaign is Support Carrie and Sarah After Tragic Fire.
