Yes, there was rampant sex in Alexandria, Louisiana, and a whole lot more.
There was gambling, saloons, brothels, even an opium den! But as amazing as all of this was in this puritan in appearance community of Bible-thumping Christians, all of these vices were absolutely legal!

The addictions of the men and women for paid love lead even to small town Alexandria having to create its own Venereal Disease Hospital. Yes, debauchery flourished in Central Louisiana until the U. S. Government and the generous offer of military money changed all of this from legal to illegal.
