NEW ORLEANS RED BEANS AND RICE

You will love this one! You can make the whole thing in 30 minutes and it will be almost as good as home cooked all day New Orleans red beans and rice! After you’ve worked all day and want to make a quick meal, this is the recipe for you. Every once in a while, I tell people it’s my grandmother’s secret recipe. Enjoy this … “red and ready” red beans and rice spice-up. It’s just this simple and, oh, so good!

Three cans of Blue Runners New Orleans red beans, original

One bell pepper, chopped

Tablespoon of garlic, chopped

Two links of a good Cajun sausage

Chopped green onions

Cut up sausage and cook in olive oil until browned on a high heat, remove grease. Add bell pepper and garlic and cook for one minute. Add three cans of red beans. Bring to a boil while stirring, then, simmer for 10 minutes continuing to stir a lot. Place over rice and garnish with green onions.
