“To find the best in others; to give of one’s self without the slightest thought of return, and to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded.” Henry David Thoreau
The teacher cannot appear until the student is ready. The great service we can perform for others is to help them to help themselves. I have always believed that if you are looking for a helping hand the best place to look is at the end of your own arm. Galileo, said, “You cannot teach a man anything. You can only help him discover it within himself.“ Fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7.
To propel a dream forward, you must have intuition, imagination, determination, commitment, perseverance and the boldness of faith.
In helping others you can be deceived if you trust too much and therefore must be vigilant or you will be taken advantage of by others. “If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Anne Isabella Richie
To break the shackles of servitude and feeling sorry for yourself, and go from victim to victory, you must eliminate all excuses.
Recognizing your own responsibility and the need to stop blaming others is a first step toward dismantling the culture of victimization and setting you on the right path to find peace, love, happiness and success.
