Not many restaurants get a redux in this column but after watching owner Joe Hamideh revise and revamp over the last 8 months to best meet the needs of Cenla residents, I decided to feature his new menu, renovated space, and updated hours.
You talked, he listened.
First came the addition of lunch hours with lighter fare. Sunday hours. A new bar with a giant tv. Outdoor cafe seating. Lower prices. Pizzas. DoorDash.
Now the menu is an all-day menu, meaning steaks, Philly cheesesteaks, and more are available any time of day.
Those cheesesteaks are my favorite thing on the menu!
All entrees still include an all-you-can-eat salad bar and two sides. They also now include hot beignets with every meal.
I went for lunch recently to try out one of the new menu items and bring a couple of pizzas home for visiting family coming in town. I opted for the Chicken Parmesan over Pasta w/ Spaghetti Sauce. It was perfect! In fact, I boxed up half before I even started eating to bring home to my mom because it easily was enough for two. The beignets were made-to-order, hot and delicious. I brought some of them home too!
As for the pizzas, my family enjoyed a large hamburger pizza with traditional pizza sauce and a large White Pizza, made with olive oil, minced garlic, and cheese. There wasn’t a slice left of either by the time we all headed off to bed.
Ribeye Steak House’s menu includes old and new favorites. Remaining on the menu are Shrimp Cocktail, Steak Bites, Ribeyes, Filet Mignon, Surf-n-Turf, Philly Cheesesteaks, and more. New additions include Chicken Picante over Pasta, 12 Jumbo Shrimp over Pasta w/Lemon Butter Sauce, Homemade Lasagna, and the Chicken Parm I’d had for lunch.
Classic offerings like Fried Pickles, Buffalo Wings, Half-Pound Burger, Fish-n-Chips, and Spaghetti & Meatballs are available, along with the Kids Menu featuring a cheeseburger, chicken tenders, or mac & cheese.
Ribeye Steak House is located at 5200 Rue Verdun Street in Alexandria. Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 11 AM–2 PM and 4 PM–9 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM–8 PM. For more information, call 318-704-1200.
