DIRTY RICE

Some people think you can not make Dirty Rice without using Liver. Well, one Thanksgiving, I could not find any chicken livers. So, I used Rubbed Sage in its place. Hear is a Dirty Rice recipe without Liver, and man is it good! Bon Appetite.

3 Cups of Rice
6 Cups of Chicken Broth
1 Lb. of Ground Pork
1 Lb. of Ground Beef
Creole Seasoning (Slap Your Mama Brand)
Salt & Pepper
1 Onion
1 Bell Pepper
3 Stalks of Celery
2 Bunches of Green Onions
Italian Parsley
Garlic
Rubbed Sage
1/2 a Stick of Butter

Start Rice – boil Chicken Broth and add rice, simmer for 20 minutes covered.

Brown beef and pork and drain the grease. While cooking, season with salt and pepper, 1/2 a jar of Rubbed Sage and shake on some Slap Your Mama. Chop the vegetables fine along with the garlic and cook in the butter, put the green onions (chopped) and parsley (finely chopped) to the side. Season with salt & pepper, Rubbed Sage and Slap Your Mama. In a large mixing bow,l mix together the rice, meat and vegetables including the Green Onions and Parsley. Mix well, ready to serve.
