Walking into the Broken Wheel Brewery is like stepping into the opening of the Cheers theme song: “making your way in the world today takes everything you’ve got, taking a break from all your worries sure would help a lot.” And because, after a long day of pounding the pavement and being productive … “don’t you want to go where everybody knows your name?”
Seriously, when you walk into the Broken Wheel Brewery you’re greeted by the friendly, familiar faces of greeters, bar staff, and a dining room full of hugs and high fives from friends and family.
My Broken Wheel favorites include the pub fries with the spinach and artichoke dip or the spicy tuna stack or the gulf salad. However, today I’m waiting with anxious excitement as I break away from my usual eats and partake in a parade of new menu items.
Up first, Salmon Sashimi with a spicy Asian sauce, toasted sesame seeds, zucchini noodles, and a whole lotta’ flavor.
Next up, we swap out the gulf salad for a surprisingly delicious beet salad. Simple, yet so good, this salad is whipped up with arugula, beets, goat cheese, pecans, and a house made herb vinaigrette dressing.
From the new options on the entrée side of the menu, we’re treated to pan seared salmon topped with a cream sauce and a generous portion of lump crab meat served up with a side of asparagus. The filet is cooked perfectly medium well and served with the bombdotcom Asiago jalapeño mac and cheese and spicy brussel sprouts because … why not?
The Broken Wheel Brewery is one of those local watering holes that’s far from pretentious, yet still serves up a top shelf atmosphere with fresh, local ingredient. Inside, you will be treated to some of the best bartenders around and you’ll have the pleasure of mixing up cocktails or pairing a cold Broken Wheel brew with any of the scrumptious new menu items. Enjoy!
