How does a delicious coffee and a good book sound? If it sounds delightful, keep reading! September is National Library Card Sign-up Month, and the Rapides Parish Library has a card just for you! New library cardholders may wake up to a delicious coffee from one of our local coffee shops and a good book from RPL this September. Each branch will be giving away a coffee gift card drawn from the names of their newest cardholders.
In addition to the endless entertainment and excitement that comes with a library card, the Rapides Parish Library, the American Library Association (ALA), and libraries nationwide want to remind parents, caregivers and students that signing up for a library card is the first step on the path to academic achievement and lifelong learning.
There is nothing more empowering than a library card. Through access to technology, media resources, and educational programs, it gives students the tools to succeed in the classroom and provides people of all ages opportunities to pursue their dreams and passions.

At the eBranch, you’ll find a wide variety of educational and entertainment resources, including Scienceflix, Homework LA, Lynda.com, Libby, Hoopla, Kanopy and more.
