Submitted by the Campaign to elect Trayce Snow for City Council
I grew up in a military family – a career Army father and a family of veterans. In addition to a deep sense of patriotism and respect for those who serve our country, I have a strong sense of discipline, structure, and desire to serve others. I, myself, served as a U.S. Air Force nurse.
I am married to Jeff Snow – a lifelong Alexandrian. With Jeff at my side, Alexandria has been my home for 25 years. As well, my mother and son call Alexandria home.
My time as a U.S. Air Force nurse began upon graduation from the University of Kansas (nursing) in 1985. In 2008, I graduated from Louisiana State University at Alexandria (communication studies). This lead me to The Rapides Foundation where I spent 12 years honing my skills in communications, community and project building, budget oversight, and board participation. I retired from the Foundation as the Senior Program Officer for the Healthy Behaviors and Healthcare Access Initiatives.
As a seasoned Air Force nurse and dedicated member of our community, I am committed to fostering a city council that thrives on open communication, public transparency, and equity across all districts.
My aim is to ensure the voices of Alexandrians are heard and valued. By promoting transparency in decision-making processes, trust and accountability can be built among residents and council members alike. Together, we will work with our city administration to address challenges, seize opportunities, and ensure sustainable growth, prosperity, and equity.
