WOW!!! This was, indeed, the FESTIVAL of FESTIVALS!!!!! The Avoyelles Arts & Music 4th of July Festival, Paragon Casino Resort, and Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana came together to bring Marksville the best of both festival worlds … entertainment, art, crafts, food, and more FUN than imaginable … and all INSIDE and OUT!!! It just can’t be beat!!!
Attendance was high, and so was the Louisiana summer heat … not a problem here! Just head into the casino and cool off till you’re ready to check more of the amazing events outside. Car Show, Watermelon, Hot Dog, Cherry Pie, and Boudin Eating Contests were among the festivities. Music was everywhere throughout the day. A free Kids’ Zone, a DJ all day outside, then, back inside to the Cupid and Zydeco Dance Offsf!
The evening wrapped up with a phenomenal Fireworks Display … honestly, the BEST way to spend your Independence Day.
They’ll be back next year, so we suggest you put this on your MUST DO list … you’ll be so glad you did!
