POP’S PLACE … A GENERAL STORE WITH MUCH MORE!

Pop’s entire concept is based upon the Pineville community and their familiesThe owner Robert Williams is a successful businessman in Central Louisiana and also an accomplished Award-Winning Chef. He has combined his recipes with the expertise in the kitchen brought to the table by Pop’s very own home cooking guru,  Ms. Aida, and the combination is phenomenal!

With the addition of everything you need from a quick stop neighborhood store and more, Pop’s is bringing back something we all grew up with and loved … it’s the perfect place to stop by during the day or on your way home!

Lunch specials are served Monday-Thursday, 11 till 3,  Friday till 7 pm, and Saturday, 12 till 5. Some of their offerings include Beef Tips, Fried Steak, Catfish, Baked and Fried Chicken, Red Beans and Rice and Smothered Pork Chops to name a few. Located at 1632 Military Hwy., in the Trotter Centre, it’s convenient location works for everyone! It’s the grocery store/lunchroom with you in mind. You can dine in or take out. Come grab some groceries any time and pick up some home cooking that will serve your soul! You’ll be so glad you did!!!

SHOP LOCAL, KEEP YOUR SPENDING DOLLARS IN OUR COMMUNITIES … IT’S A GREAT FEELING!!!

Our FAVORITE Food Reviewer Ronny Green has already stopped by Pop’s to his delight! Thanks, Ronny, for sending us your comments on the place to go for lunch!!!
Let’s talk LUNCH BREAKS. Some are 30 minutes, some are one hour and then there’s my favorite: the extended lunch. However long your break is, efficiency is key when juggling the running of errands, maneuvering through lunch traffic and avoiding never ending drive-through lines. That’s where Pop’s comes in, especially if you’re lunch breaking on the Pineville side of the river. And because the lunch break goal is to eat, Pop’s is serving up hefty daily lunch specials sure to get you through the day and you may even have some leftovers for later. If you’re like me and enjoy good fried fish on Fridays, Pop’s has fried catfish or fried chicken with jambalaya and corn. The home-cooked goodness continues all week long with options such as chicken fried steak, red beans and rice, smothered pork chops and my personal favorite, beef tips, rice and gravy, mac and cheese, mustard greens and cornbread. You’re going to love this!
