Madison Simms of Natchitoches was chosen as winner of the 66th Annual Miss Northwestern – Lady of the Bracelet Scholarship Program held at Northwestern State University on Thursday in the A.A. Fredericks Auditorium.
Makynli Delcambre of New Iberia was first runner up and Lily Goudeau of Marion was second runner up.
Simms won the talent award and the Liz Carroll People’s Choice Award. Petra Williams of Lafayette won the Carley McCord Miss Congeniality Award.
Simms will receive more than $8,000 in scholarships and prizes. She will represent NSU in June’s Miss Louisiana Scholarship Program in Monroe.
Simms is the daughter of Luke and Brandi Simms and Kristi Cooley. She is a junior biology major. Simms is a member of Blue Key Honor Society, Purple Jacket, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, the Order of Omega Honor Society, Demon Dazzlers and Phi Mu Fraternity.
