Louisiana State University of Alexandria crowned the 2021 Homecoming King and Queen in March.
Senior, Kobe’ Baker, from Erath was crowned king, and Sophomore, Sophie Borhi, of British Columbia, Canada was crowned queen.
Borhi is a chemistry major who has also been recognized for her academic excellence by receiving the Provost Award as well as the International Student Excellence Award. Not only does she excel academically, but is extremely involved in extracurricular activities including memberships to the LSUA Women’s Soccer Team, Student Government (Treasurer), and LSUA Ambassadors.
Baker, a kinesiology major, is also a member of the LSUA Baseball Team and was recently named to the Dean’s List.
The LSUA student body selected the king and queen through an online voting link. The full court featured five boys and five girls, all nominated by various clubs and organizations on campus. The ceremony is typically held in conjunction with LSUA basketball games, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, it was moved to a singular, outdoor event.
“This is always one of the best days on campus. It is extremely rewarding seeing students cheering for students. It truly exemplifies the family atmosphere here on campus and what a tight-knit community this is,” said Haylee Malone, LSUA Student Life Director.

- Logan Bourg – junior general studies major from Calvin, La
- Abigail Soileau – senior business management major from Point Blue, La
- Bryanna McKnight – junior biology (pre-physical therapy) major from Opelousas, La
- Eloisa Rubio – senior nursing major from Glenmora, La
- Miyah Portalis – senior biology (pre-physical therapy) major from Lafayette, La
