And, WE’RE OFF!!! Already one month under our belts! Seems like this year will fly by just as last year did … but, that’s okay. We’ll just take it in stride and make the most of all the time we have!
Since we must address the elephant in the room … what about the weather??? Of course, I’m writing this in the midst of a cold front about to develop into a crazy bunch of rain, and all I can say is I hope by the time your read this, we are back to some semblance of normal (haha, whatever that is!).
We love that there is so much going on and so much to do in our great state! Of course, Mardi Gras is early this month, and we know how much we all look forward to that celebration! We hope y’all get out there, catch some beads, dance in the streets, eat some king cake, take in a parade or two, and pass a grand time! Mais, oui, we know how to do that in La Louisiane!
If you haven’t attended one of the many events at the Coughlin-Saunders Center, or meandered around the Alexandria Museum of Arts, well, you are definitely missing out. The City Park Zoo, although better as the weather improves , is also a special family treat.
Nature trails, antiquing, dining, and so much more are always alternatives in CenLa! Be sure to take full advantage of all there is to offer around our area and throughout the state, you’ll be so glad you did.
So, February, HERE WE COME! You know how we feel about spreading the love around and shopping locally … two majors additions to our communities that help keep them flowing and going, you know how it’s done (thank you all!).
