Yea! Spring is on it’s way! And, in the middle of March, we’ll say so long to daylight savings time! In the words of my good friends at “Georges” … “business is great, people are terrific and life is wonderful” (if you’ve seen the bumper sticker, you know what I mean :).
We are blessed to have lots of places around us, like Forest Hill and Glenmora, both full of local nurseries to shop. Get ready to fertilize, plant, and welcome Springtime.
There are so many local businesses that provide a very important aspect to your shopping … that personal touch. In our community, that’s never hard to find.
The Cane River area offers wonderful events and a wide range of Louisiana history you can visit right here in our backyard in Natchitoches. You might even want to find a charming bed and breakfast and stay over.
The largest casino in Cenla is located in Avoyelles Parish; fun, food, entertainment in one convenient spot! You can go any direction in Marksville and find phenomenal dining. And don’t miss the amazing experiences, including keeping the area’s heritage alive, right there in downtown Marksville. Avoyelles Parish is the heart of Louisiana and one of my favorite places to visit.
Downtown Alexandria is flourishing as well. It’s a good idea to keep an eye on what’s going on down there so you don’t miss a thing!
And I need to give you a heads up on a fantastic boat and outdoor expo that will hit Rapides Coliseum this month, March 25-27. Everything you ever wanted right under one roof: fishing, hunting, boating, you name it, a real Sportsman’s Fantasy, so don’t miss it.
There is always a lot to do right here at home in Central Louisiana. It’s always open for fun and making memories.
Please, if you can, always shop local and spread a little love around.
All the best, always, all ways … Dief
