The Kelli Roberts Band began in 2015 as a side project amongst friends with the goal of offering the Cenla area a band that can play a wide variety of music genres, but with an expansive song list of selections that, while popular songs, may not often be heard in a live setting. Drawing from a wide range of influences, the Kelli Roberts Band plays everything from Motown, 70s and 80s pop music, country and classic rock.
“We’re always challenging ourselves to learn new music to add to our ever-growing song list. In the last six years, we’ve amassed a song bank of over 200 songs” says Kelli Roberts, lead vocalist for the group. “We’re very proud of that and think it’s important to keep expanding on the music. Anyone that attends multiple shows of ours can always expect something new or different from the time before.”
Over the last six years, the Kelli Roberts Band has played many local venues, festivals, charity events, weddings and city-sponsored events. Before the COVID-19 Pandemic, the band even held a monthly residency at Alexandria establishment Spirits. The band is looking forward to the return of live music in full capacity soon to the Cenla area, as well as their monthly residency.
