HOPE IN THE HALLWAYS THIS SCHOOL YEAR

By Jennifer DePriest

This year, Hope House of Central Louisiana, Inc. was honored with the Crowell and Owens Best Non-Profit award at the Central Louisiana Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Bizzy Awards! We’re incredibly proud of this recognition — and it’s all thanks to the unwavering support of our dedicated staff, board members, volunteers, partners, and community. This award is yours, too.

At Hope House, our mission is to provide safe transitional housing and essential services to those experiencing homelessness, empowering them on the path to independence. Our vision? To see every individual who walks through our doors become a role model of self-determination, responsibility, and citizenship. That mission is at the heart of everything we do — not just for adults, but for the children who live with us as well.

As a new school year begins, we’re focused on helping our young residents start strong. We know how powerful it is for a child to walk into school feeling confident — wearing a new pair of shoes, a fresh uniform, and carrying a sense of hope. That’s why we’re asking for your help.

Want to make a difference today?
Consider donating gift cards (to Academy, Target, Visa, etc.) that we can use to help the children of Hope House shop for school essentials. These small gestures make a big impact — helping our kids feel prepared and proud as they walk the hallways this fall.

As the Bizzy Awards reminded us, Hope House is changing lives in Central Louisiana — but we can’t do it alone. With homelessness on the rise, your support is more crucial than ever. Whether it’s a gift card, a ticket purchase, or a donation to our fundraiser, every act of generosity helps create a brighter future for those we serve.

Thank you for believing in our mission and standing with us to bring hope — not just into homes, but into classrooms and communities.
