Northwestern State’s 2024 home football opener will carry a special designation for former Demon players.
The Demon Brothers Booster Club will host its “Lettermen Weekend” on Sept. 6-7 ahead of and during the Demons’ home opener against Prairie View A&M.
The two-day event includes a golf tournament at Northwestern Hills at 8 a.m. Friday, the ability to watch the Demons’ walk-through practice that afternoon and a 7 p.m. social event with drink specials at Riverside Reserve, located at 104 Mill Street in Natchitoches. The golf event is open to the Natchitoches community at large.
There will be a tailgate event with free game tickets for lettermen only. Championship teams that will be honored during the reunion are the 1953 Gulf States Championship team, the 1984 Gulf Star Championship team and the 1988, 1998 and 2004 Southland Conference championship squads.
Lettermen will have designated seating areas within Turpin Stadium for the game and there will be a social held throughout the game adjacent to Jack Clayton Plaza.
All Demon lettermen are asked to visit DemonBrothers.org to register for the golf event and Saturday tailgate.
