Hi Cenla,
It’s back-to-school time and we know kids and parents are looking forward to it. Please drive cautiously and watch for kids, buses and school zones.
We have made progress, but the Delta variant has become a concern. We understand it’s up to you; we hope anyone who hasn’t will consider vaxxing up … we love you all. We want to be sure you and those around you remain safe, healthy and happy! All of us at 318Central.com are vaccinated and hope you will consider the same.
The NSU Summer Concert Series has been incredible, bringing music to downtown Natchitoches every weekend. Hangars has opened in Pineville: a place to meet, dance, and have a good time! The Broken Wheel Brewery in Marksville is putting out world class Cajun food and craft beer. And, while you’re in Marksville, you want to check out Paragon’s new Sports Bar! The food review by 318Central.com’s Food Enthusiast, Ronny Green, gives you an inside look at Central Louisiana’s #1 Sports Bar. There is no shortage of things to do.
We lost Dusty Hill, the bass player for ZZ Top. A group formed in 1969 , and after decades, one of the #1 rock bands in the world. Dusty will be missed, may he R.I.P.!
I have always liked the Tim McGraw song, “Live Like You Were Dying.” You never know when it’s your time … so make sure you give somebody a hug, tell them you love them and do your best to spread a little love around.
Please shop local … until next time.
Peace out!
