A SPECIAL TREAT ANY TIME OF THE DAY … A REAL HIT AT PARTIES, TOO!!!
Ingredients:
6 – 8 flour tortillas
3 large apples, peeled and diced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Frosting
Powdered sugar
Vanilla
Milk
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well to coat the apples evenly.
Lay the tortillas flat and fill them as full as you can and still roll them tightly. Place each one on place them seam side down on cookie sheet.
Brush the taquitos with melted butter and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the oven and let cool
Mix small amount of 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp of vanilla and tbs of milk or enough to make a glaze. Then drizzle over tortillas.
They store well in airtight container.
