As part of our adventure day, my grandson Jonah and I recently had lunch at Wayback’s Arcade in Pineville.
The lunch buffet is available from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and you don’t have to buy arcade admission to enjoy it. Though I’m not quite sure how you can be so close to the 80s without experiencing it once more.
The first thing they asked when we ordered our two buffet plates was what kind of pizza we wanted. They were willing to make whatever we wanted.
But we are both picky and stuck mostly with the pepperoni pizzas already on the buffet. I did try a slice of bacon pizza, something I’ve never ordered before, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.
That’s the benefit of a buffet.
You can also order from the regular menu, something I’d likely do on days when we weren’t hungry enough for unlimited pizza and cookies.
The cookies were delicious, and the cheese pull on the pizza was perfect.
They now have dinner specials too. From 4-7 p.m., Monday through Friday, you can score as many points with your family as Ms. Pac-Man does after gobbling up Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde.
Restart Monday features two one-topping pizzas and breadsticks.
Token Tuesday includes a 16-inch pizza, four drinks, and cheesesticks.
Wing It Wednesday pairs wings with a specialty pizza.
Double Play Thursday offers two pizzas, drinks, and breadsticks.
Friday Night Frenzy rounds out the week with pizza, boneless bites, drinks, and cheesesticks.
Wayback’s is Louisiana’s largest free-play arcade, with unlimited arcade admission available for $12. Specials, like 2-for-1 Tuesdays are available as well.
Located at 1305 Military Highway in Pineville, Wayback’s offers both nostalgic fun and family-friendly dining under one roof.
