Hello, and welcome to Mickey’s Red Kettle.
Part of CenLa’s history, the Red Kettle has been around for over 40 years in Central Louisiana and has become a staple in the community. We are a family-owned cafe in Alexandria, Louisiana, and we put our hearts and souls into making our authentic country home cooking the way you like it.
When we purchased the Red Kettle in 2022, we did a lot of renovations and updating to the dining room and kitchen, from painting and redecorating to new equipment and rebranded menus and recipes.
Our chef has been cooking for over 45 years and serves up made from scratch plate lunches every day.
Now for the reason you’ll keep coming back … From the grill line you can get pancakes, waffles, toast, homemade biscuits, eggs however you like them prepared, sausage gravy, grits, bacon, turkey bacon, jalapeno bacon, omelets, burritos , and of course, Community Coffee served fresh and hot all day long. We are also pleased to announce that we are the only restaurant in Rapides Parish to have Country Pleasin’ brand sausages , including cheddar jalapeño, crawfish, and also alligator. We are well known for our breakfast, served all day, our handmade hamburgers which are never frozen, and our Swamp Dogs, which include our Country Pleasin’ sausages on a toasted bun and covered with Cajun Crawfish Queso. We also offer made from scratch desserts including Bread Pudding, Carrot Cake, and Fruit Salad.
We are open Monday-Friday from 5 am-2 pm and weekends 7 am-2 pm. You may dine-in (3746 S. MacArthur), takeout, call in orders (318-441-7165), and we will also deliver for more than 5 orders. We cater and make our dining room and kitchen available for special events such as parties, political campaigns, wedding rehearsals, and family reunions.
As soon as you walk in our door, we make you feel like your sitting down at Grandmaw’s kitchen table. We always appreciate your business and want to maintain a friendly, heartfelt atmosphere where we can get to know everybody we have the pleasure of serving. We are proud to have you here!
