Services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are crucial to help individuals navigate life’s challenges, access resources, and live fulfilling lives. Many individuals with disabilities do not have access to services, limiting their ability to thrive and become contributing members of their community.
Meet Annabel T. She’s brand new to Evergreen Life Services, but we’re already making a difference in her life. Annabel was abandoned in a hotel for a week after a medical emergency with her mother. She was then admitted to Ochsner’s Medical Center in New Orleans, where the staff immediately fell in love with her. There was an urgent request for services.
Evergreen Life Services responded immediately.
When we met Annabel, the staff asked many questions to ensure she would be provided a safe place to live and cared for by people who would love her. We were informed that she had experienced a hard life and deserved the best! And that is precisely what she receives now through the vital programs and services you help support!
