Have you ever wished you had longer, darker eyelashes? Well, now there is an FDA approved product that can help you. Latisse can be obtained thru a physician’s office only and by prescription.
Latisse is applied once daily to the base of the upper eyelashes with a sterile, single-use disposable applicator. DO NOT PUT IN EYES! You should see results as early as six to eight weeks. But to get the full results you will need to use the product for up to 16 weeks. Continued use of the product is necessary to maintain the effect. Lashes will gradually return to pretreatment state if the use of Latisse is discontinued.
The primary ingredient in Latisse is a prostaglandin analog that is present in hair and is thought to help in the development and regrowth of hair follicles. Eyelash growth is a known side effect of Lumigan. Lumigan is a glaucoma eye drop that carries the same ingredient as Latisse. The only known contraindication for the use of Latisse is hypersensitivity to the drug. Symptoms may include itching, redness and/or dryness of eyes.
*An FDA advisory panel recommended that the FDA approve Latisse and recommended studies on certain groups of patients, such as young patients and patients who have lost their eyelashes due to chemotherapy.
