Chicken Salad Chick is known for fresh flavors, friendly service, and a genuine commitment to community. On a recent visit to the Alexandria location, we found that spirit on full display — along with a few surprises.
Mom and I both ordered the Sassy Scotty sandwich on a toasted croissant. She paired hers with a pasta salad she loved, and I took home Quick Chick containers of Jalapeño Holly — Dad’s favorite — and Jazzy Julie, a spicy new one I wanted to try.
With over a dozen signature chicken salads to choose from — including flavors like Fancy Nancy with Fuji apples and grapes, Olivia’s Old South with pickles and egg, and Kickin’ Kay Lynne with a little extra spice — there’s something for every taste. The menu also features pimento cheese, egg salad, soups, sides, and a variety of sandwich combinations, making it perfect for dine-in, takeout, or catering. The highlight of the day was their Cookies for a Cure October fundraiser. Each lemon buttercream cookie supported the Chicken Salad Chick Foundation, which fights cancer and feeds the hungry. It was so delicious it reminded me of the now-discontinued Edwards Lemon Meringue Pie — and I didn’t even think to offer Mom a bite until I’d finished the last crumb!
We also joined in their current Peel & Win cup promotion, where customers can buy a colorful collector’s cup and reveal a Coca-Cola–inspired prize beneath the sticker. Mom had fun peeling her winning code off her pretty new purple cup.
Whether you’re catering an event or just need something easy for a work meeting, Chicken Salad Chick is an easy local favorite. Fresh, fast, and community-minded, it’s a place you can feel good about supporting — and eating at.
