STUDYVILLE CENLA PROVIDES ENRICHMENT, HOSTS MONTHLY THEMED PARTIES

By Jeanni Ritchie

I stopped by Studyville Cenla last month for their monthly Bite Club, a free event open to the public, held on the third Thursday of each month.

Studyville—which has locations in both Baton Rouge and Alexandria—was created to Take The Homework Fight Out Of The Home®.

Students in grades K–12 receive assistance with homework and projects, ACT/SAT test prep, and expert tutoring on demand in a supportive, inclusive environment.

March’s Bite Club was “Everything Green Night,” with St. Patrick’s Day-themed food and decorations.

April’s Bite Club theme will be “Scoop Up Success”—and that means ice cream! The event will be held on April 16 from 4–7 PM.

In addition to private pay options, Studyville Cenla also participates in state-supported programs designed to expand access to educational support. The Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise (LA GATOR) Scholarship Program, which began with the 2025–2026 school year, helps families find a school or create a customized educational plan tailored to their child’s individual needs. While income guidelines do apply, the threshold is higher than many families may expect, allowing more households to qualify for assistance.

Studyville is also an approved provider for the Steve Carter Tutoring Program, which offers literacy and math tutoring to K–12 public school students who are performing below proficiency. Sessions are available after school, both virtually and in person, and eligibility is based on academic need rather than income alone. Families can apply through the program’s portal and, if approved, select a tutoring provider that best fits their needs. More information and applications are available at https://www.louisianatutoringinitiative.com.

Studyville Cenla is looking to expand its programming, including offering summer camps for its clients. With resources and support systems already in place, the program is well-positioned to grow through increased collaboration with local schools, organizations, and community partners, helping to reach even more students across the region.

Whether families are looking for consistent academic support or a fun way to stay engaged, Studyville Cenla continues to offer both structure and creativity in a setting designed to help students thrive.

Studyville Cenla is located at 110 Versailles Blvd in Alexandria and is open Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 9:00 PM. For more information, call (318) 541-8655 or visit studyville.com.
