Brought To You By The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Department
On Tuesday November 21st, 2023, at approximately 11 PM, Deputies responded to a report of multiple gunshots fired in the 2800 block of Woodlawn Dr. Alexandria. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds in a vehicle. Several shell casing were found in the roadway.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital by Acadian Ambulance where they are currently being treated for their injuries.
Sheriff’s Detectives and Crime Scene Unit responded and processed the scene throughout the night. Detectives are continuing to conduct their investigation and are currently taking statements from witnesses and processing evidence located at the scene. Sheriff’s Detectives are asking the public for their assistance in this investigation.
