Trampoline parks became all the rage in the early 2000’s. These indoor bounce parks have multiple “tramps” and fun play structures for the whole family. From toddlers barely learning to walk to grandmothers like me closer to walkers than braces, the benefits abound for all.
Some benefits include:
•Improved Cardiovascular Health
•Increased Strength
•Enhanced Balance and Coordination
•Joint Health
•Weight Loss and Fitness
•Bone Density
•Lymphatic Flow
•Stress Relief and Improved Mood
•Improved Cognitive Function
•Reduced Anxiety and Enhanced Emotional Resilience
•Promotes Feelings of Joy and Happiness
•Better Sleep
•Social Skills
Not to mention it’s a great place for kids and grandkids to blow off energy while you join them OR relax on a nearby bench.
I found myself at Adventure Fun Park Cenla two days in a row last month. The first day I’d brought my grandson for a 90-minute play while I worked on articles. It was a reward for a great afternoon at speech therapy.
While there, I learned about their Tuesday/Thursday t-shirt program where kids wearing the $15 t-shirt can jump for 2 hours for $10. It’s a great deal and it lasts until the kids outgrow the shirt! (You do see a lot of oversized tees; it’s quite like buying new shoes for your kids to grow into!)
They have toddler time on select days and times where the park is closed to all but the littlest jumpers and their parents for a super low price of $5 per child and $2 for parent.
Adventure Fun Park is about more than just trampolines. Besides the 24-trampoline jump deck, there’s a dodge ball pit, two basketball goals, a giant indoor playground with slides, and an obstacle course with inflatable air mats below. Party areas on an upper deck accommodate large groups while lockers hold belongings. There are clean restrooms and concessions, including an Icee machine. There’s plenty of seating for parents, grandparents, and camp counselors! And there’s plenty of room for kids to just be kids.
And big kids to try not to break a hip!
