BJ’S PIZZA SERVING CENLA FOR OVER 40 YEARS

By Jeanni Ritchie

Since 1979, BJ’s Pizza House has been serving their handcrafted pizzas made with fresh dough daily in Alexandria, Ball, and Pineville. In 1982, I celebrated my 13th birthday at the Alexandria location. I’ve been back many times since!

Few places reminded me of home like BJ’s Pizza when I moved away. For 16 years, a trip back to Central Louisiana wasn’t complete without at least one BJ’s half-hamburger, half-pepperoni pie.

That’s still my order, every time! Even after moving back home in 2023 and having access to BJ’s anytime I want, the order is unchanged. I simply can’t decide which is best—hamburger or pepperoni—so half and half is the compromise!

I ordered one just last week, delivery of the popular pizza the standard meal for my spring cleaning. They have dine-in, pick-up, and delivery options. Customers can order the poker-friendly Full House (with all the works) or try their famous Muffuletta. They also have po-boys, spaghetti, wings, and breadsticks.

Last year the Pineville location hosted a fundraiser for Korbin, a six-year-old who’d survived a tragic incident. Lines wrapped around the building while proceeds went to the little boy’s recovery. It was one of the biggest displays of community heart I’ve ever seen, with BJ’s Pizza in Pineville taking the reins.

BJ’s Pizza is an award-winning, citizen-minded pizza parlor where a variety of toppings, a handful of mozzarella, and outstretched arms turn an ordinary restaurant into an extraordinary community mainstay.
