ALLIANCE COMPRESSORS INVESTS $100,000 IN NEW BOYS & GIRLS CLUB …

by Vanner Erikson

Alliance Compressors, through the non-profit Emerson Charitable Trust, donated $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana, to bring a Boys & Girls Club back to the community. Alliance employees, representatives from Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana and local advisory council members gathered August 5th to announce Alliance’s investment in the youth of Natchitoches.

“We are thrilled and excited to bring a club back to Natchitoches, and we appreciate the support of companies like Alliance and others to ensure a sustainable operation for years to come.” says Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana President and CEO Missy Andrade.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of El Camino Real closed its doors in 2019 after 29 years of service to the community, due to growing costs of the organization. Under new leadership, local advisory members and a sustainable plan for growth, the Natchitoches Boys & Girls Club is expected to open in January 2022.

Vanner Erikson, Director of Recruiting for NSU and Boys & Girls Clubs of Natchitoches Advisory Council Chairman says, “We are so excited and thankful for Alliance’s generosity towards our community. The Boys and Girls Club will bring community stability, educational support, and a safe place for our youth to grow and learn.  They are making the most impactful and worthy investment – an investment in our youth and our community’s future.”

This year marks the 51st anniversary of Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana and the Natchitoches project represents the organization’s 7th site. Locations include (2) Lafayette, New Iberia, Abbeville, Opelousas and Lake Charles.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana operates under a mission to enable all young people, especially those that need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Clubs focus on 3 priority outcomes:
