Recently, I started some “Spring Cleaning,” and in the middle of the process I came across these photos. I love to read, and am known for underlining my favorite sections in books. It’s exciting to pass these books along to others, because I think when they see what words touched me, what lessons I learned from the different books, it turns me into a tour guide of sorts.
Taking quotes and printing them off to inspire others is also a favorite pastime of mine. The lessons that others share with us through their words inspire us as we journey through life. They make my spirit sing.
Finding these photos with the words that inspired me years ago, was like finding a time capsule.
At the same time, I was also reminded that sometimes we have to be our own cheerleader as we journey through life. If we aren’t careful we can spend so much time taking care of everyone and everything else in our lives, that we can lose our way. This is why these note cards printed with words that inspire me are so precious. They inspired me enough to create these little colorful reminders, and I found they made me bloom with hope and optimism for the future.
As we start to incorporate more activities back into our lives, may we not forget to take care of ourselves? As we raise kids, and tend to our daily responsibilities, may we also remember that it doesn’t hurt to cheer ourselves on?
Post little reminders for yourself and your kids so that you can see them each day. If something comes to mind that you want to share with your family and friends, send them a text. Just a few minutes out of your day, may be the inspiration that they were looking for.
Words have the power to change the course of our lives. They can lift us up when life gets heavy. They can give our lives direction, and help our spirits to take flight.
Use this season to cheer on the people in your life. Not just family and friends, but people you encounter throughout the day. You will find that not only will this help their hopes and dreams bloom, but it will have a profound impact on your life as well. I’m cheering for you!
