This month we are excited to introduce the newest stylist, Sarah Ducote, at The Salon Pineville.
Sarah was born and raised in CenLa, and has lived between Deville and Marksville all of her formative life. She attended Buckeye all her school years and graduated in 2020. She was enrolled at Northwestern right after high school graduation, and married her sweetheart in 2021. Since she wasn’t sure what path she wanted to follow, she decided to take a break from college, and moved to California where her husband was stationed with the Army.
After returning to this area, she decided that Cosmetology was where she wanted to be. So, let’s visit with her and find out more.
318Central.com: Sarah, what made you first feel like becoming a stylist was for you.
Sarah: All my life, I have been interested in hair, makeup, and fashion. I was always asking anyone I could to “lend me their head” so I could work my magic. It took some time, though, for me to realize that’s where my heart is.
318Central.com: Did you have any other jobs before you decided on Beauty School?
Sarah: I guess my favorite was the kennel tech at a dog boarding facility. I gave the dogs their baths and got quite a bit of experience in “shampooing!”
318Central.com: When did you graduate from beauty school?
Sarah: I graduated this year and am looking forward to building a clientele and establishing myself at The Salon Pineville.
318Central.com: How did you decide to approach The Salon?
Sarah: Well, there were several reasons. First, I’ve always love The Salon Pineville, it was my salon when I was younger. Then, one of the stylists at The Salon Pineville is my sister’s lifelong best friend … But, most importantly, it was the reason I could see my future was in the salon industry. Their workplace and work ethics were exactly what I wanted to be part of …
318Central.com: What are some of your specialties?
Sarah: Women’s and Men’s Cuts, All Over Colors, but anything anybody wants, I can surely do!
318Central.com: What are your future plans as the newest gal on the block?
Sarah: I want to expand my knowledge and incorporate many new services for my clients. I especially appreciate that The Salon’s continuing education programs will be beneficial to me in my growth.
