Tiffany Pollack released her debut solo album on Nola Blue Records on July 16, in follow-up to 2019’s award-winning Blues in My Blood, a duet record with her cousin, Eric Johanson. Bayou Liberty, a nod to Bayou Liberty Road in her childhood neighborhood of Slidell, LA, as well as themes of personal liberty throughout her life, examines both the darkness and the light of the female experience. Pollack strives to be a strong and resilient role model for her young daughters, laying the foundation for their futures. Bayou Liberty is her liberty from the teachings of her childhood, displayed in twelve original tracks navigating a wide range of genres, styles and emotional terrain with ease.
Produced by label mate, John Németh, and recorded to tape at Electraphonic Studio in Memphis, the Crescent City meets the Bluff City for a sonic celebration of liberty.
