I hope everyone is staying safe, practicing social distancing and washing your hands. The current pandemic situation we’re living in has forced us to shift our normal everyday routines. One of the underlying themes I hear floating around social media and advertising is that we’re all in this together. This can mean sending a friendly letter or text message or offering to help our older brothers and sisters by delivering groceries or picking up prescriptions or as it relates to the good eats and tasty treats I typically share with you; let’s support our local restaurants.

While dining in is no longer an option, many, if not all, restaurants are offering call in orders for pick up or delivery. You can also take advantage of delivery apps such as Waitr and Door Dash, both offer weekly free delivery codes so be on the lookout for those notifications.

Local restaurant owners are our neighbors who are operating a small business and chasing their dreams, as well as supporting their families and those of their employees.

We are all in this together and we have the power to make or break the mom and pop restaurants so that when some sense of normalcy returns we can once again gather together at our favorite eatery.
