LOCAL ARTIST PUBLISHES SECOND BOOK RAISING AWARENESS OF CHILD INTERACTION WITH POLICE OFFICERS

Brought To You By Kimberly Pattison

We Met a Police Officer Today empowers young minds with a positive perspective on law enforcement and fosters a deeper understanding of the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others. It is not just a picture book – it’s a tool for shaping compassionate citizens, building bridges between law enforcement and the community, and promoting unity and respect.

This beautifully illustrated book serves as a reminder that appearances can be deceiving and that judgments based on stereotypes are often unfair. Through the enchanting story of Carson and his friends, children will learn the importance of looking beyond the uniform and recognizing the values, compassion, and bravery that police officers embody.

We Met a Police Officer Today not only nurtures a positive perception of law enforcement but also encourages open-mindedness, empathy, and appreciation for the diverse roles individuals play in our society. Whether reading at home, in the classroom, or during community discussions, this book provides a safe space for children to explore their feelings, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Together, we can foster a future generation that sees beyond stereotypes, embraces diversity, and values the invaluable contribution of our everyday heroes in blue.

Our friend, Kimberly Pattison has once again shed important light on the cares and concerns of our youth as they maneuver through the sometimes harrowing waters of everyday living these days. Her new release, We Met A Police Officer Today, will bring comfort to young children in a most special way. We strongly suggest you include a copy of this book in your children’s library. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kimberly Pellerin Pattison has been a hairdresser for 35 years . She is also married to a veteran Police officer of 28 years as well as a mom to an officer.

She is saddened by the thought of children fearing Police officers.

She also has witnessed first hand the fear young children can express at the thought of getting their hair cut .

Having been a mother to three and now a (Sweetie) to her grandchildren , she is reminded of the importance of talking to children about their potentially scary life events .

Kimberly was drawn to writing these books hoping to show children that it’s okay to feel fear but it’s even better to conquer those fears .

She also hopes this book reminds parents to teach their children “THERE’S NOTHING THEY CAN’T DO.”

I’M NOT SCARED, NO WAY! will also be a great keepsake with placement in the back for a lock of your child’s hair and certificate of achievement .
