Terrance was admitted to the Prescott Road Community Home in Central Louisiana on June 27, 2014. He came to Evergreen Life Services from an institution where he would constantly attempt to run away. It took quite some time for Terrance to adjust to being in a community home.

Through consistent training and redirection from the Home Manager, staff, and day program staff, Terrance has had a tremendous amount of success adjusting to the family-style community home environment. He can now perform daily tasks such as putting away his plate after his meals, loading his laundry in the washing machine, and choosing a snack of his choice. These are major accomplishments for Terrance and we at Evergreen are very proud of him. He enjoys listening to music and watching television at his leisure. Terrance no longer attempts to run away when he is in the home or community.

That one-in-a-million smile in this picture was captured when Terrance was having a great time at a Veterans Day Parade in 2019.  Prior to Covid restrictions, Terrance was able to go out in the community and enjoy walks in the mall and attend church on Wednesday nights without incident.
