The Natchitoches Regional Medical Center held its 34th annual Gala on May 21, 2022. The evening began with a private “Patron’s Party” to recognize the generous sponsors of the Black and White event. Black Vodka and White Russians were the specialty drinks.
Inside the main hall, guests were served champagne, caviar, and strawberries prior to the buffet dinner that featured blackened salmon, prime rib, and boiled shrimp.
Guests were entertained by the band “Limelight” from Dallas, TX and the dance floor was high energy throughout the night.
The Black and White event raised $100,000 to support the Foundation’s campaign for a PET scanner at the newly acquired Cancer Center. The Gala is one of the Foundation’s four events held throughout the year. With the proceeds from the Gala, together with the Steel Magnolia Run, Tappedtober and the Halloween Golf Classic, the Foundation has supported the hospital’s mission with the purchase of 3-D mammography for the Women’s Breast Center, upgrades to the fetal monitoring equipment and patient rooms in the OB department and last year a $500,000 donation to the NRMC Cancer Center. Scholarships for Allied Health Professionals and numerous community grants have also been provided through the NRMC Foundation.
Christus St. Frances Cabrini was the presenting sponsor of the event. Other major sponsors included Cura, Cane River Charities, Healogics, Bradley & Blewster Associates, Payne’s Lawn Service, C. D. Morgan & Associates, and Kinetix.
