We Are

The Central Louisiana Human Services District (CLHSD) is the result of a state effort to combine the delivery of mental health, substance use, and intellectual disability services in a local agency.

There are 10 Human Services Districts/Authorities (LGEs) across Louisiana providing local help for Mental Health, Substance use, and Intellectual Disabilities.

CLHSD provides mental health, substance use, and intellectual disability services in Central Louisiana including Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Rapides, Vernon, and Winn parishes.

Our Mission

The mission of the Central Louisiana Human Services District is to increase public awareness of and to provide access for individuals with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities to integrated community based services while promoting wellness, recovery and independence through education and the choice of a broad range of programmatic and community resources.
