SEPTEMBER GREETINGS FROM PINEVILLE!

Greetings from Pineville,

Hard to believe that the summer has already come to an end. The last weekend of August/first weekend of September marks the end of a busy summer schedule.

As a reminder, the 5th Saturday Market has combined with the Buhlow BBQ Bash from the Exchange Club of Cenla to bring you a day full of entertainment. August 31st at Buhlow Lake from 10 am – 5 pm, enjoy Live Music, Food Vendors, Arts & Craft Vendors, Classic Cars and a Corporate BBQ Competition. At 10:30 am, the Ruston based group, The JukeBox Boomers, take the stage for three different sets. This high energy band will play music from all genres and promise to keep you entertained. Then around 1:30, local favorites, 92Twenty, take over. They will play all of your favorites and play up until the winners of the BBQ competition are announced. Parking and admission is FREE! We invite you to bring a lawn chair or blanket and come enjoy the start to Labor Day Weekend with us at Buhlow Lake!

September begins our move to Fall and that means Football is BACK! Local High School Jamborees are on Friday the 30th and the regular season for Pineville High School and new Head Coach Darin Moore begins on September 6th with a contest at home vs Southwood from Shreveport.

Key early match up is Week two vs Tioga in what should be a great game. Make sure to follow the Rebels all season long on LA 103.5 with the broadcast team of Rich Dupree and Nathan Martin.

September also sees the start of Louisiana College Football. Expectations for Head Coach Justin Charles are high coming off of a record setting season. Things get going right away, as the ‘Cats travel to Deland, FL to face Division I opponent Stetson. You can listen to LC Football all season long on 104.3 The Bridge.

Key dates to keep an eye out for are as follows:

Oct 29th is the 14th Annual Family Fall Fest at Kees Park.
Nov 30th is the 5th Saturday Market
Dec 13th is the Pineville Christmas Parade. This year look for some
more special announcements regarding Christmas in Cenla!

Until next time, stay tuned for more exciting news breaking about All Things Pineville!
