Dining & Brew With A Heart

by Jonathan Knoll

Marksville is known to be the Heart of Louisiana, and that is where Broken Wheel Brewery is located. Formerly known as Fresh Catch Bistreaux, for over 10 years now they have been serving the Central Louisiana community with quality food from authentic Cajun recipes, while at the same time crafting up a variety of delicious home brewed beers to go along with a very large menu.

Customers have the option to dine in public, in private, or outdoors in an awesome patio setting with a blazing fireplace … there is even a beer garden outside the patio where customers can waste the day playing cornhole or jumbo jenga, it’s even kid and dog friendly! Larger groups are welcome also and can be seated in a private room for up to 40 people. The bar has everything your thirst desires, including 10 different brewery beers on tap, premium liquor and a fantastic wine list. The menu features fried seafood, along with a delicious selection of appetizers, soups and salads, gourmet burgers and poboys, and specialty sandwiches, 16 oz ribeyes, Tuna Steaks, and many other culinary classics … all of the menu items are homemade, and locally sourced produce is used in many of the dishes to add to the authenticity of the flavors being served.

If you’re looking for a place to watch the games on Sunday, then you must get down to Marksville and hang out at Broken Wheel Brewery and enjoy a cold Spring Bayou Blonde Ale and throw a log on the fire. There is also merchandise available for purchase, such as t-shirts in your favorite teams’ colors, or you can buy a growler of beer and enjoy your favorite brew on your own patio.

There’s no better place in Central Louisiana to enjoy some wonderful food in an awesome atmosphere than Broken Wheel Brewery.
