BANANA BREAD RECIPE

This recipe has been around for a long time. This is a little twist and the ingredients are more like a cake than a bread, which is one of the reasons it’s so good. Slice it warm and put some butter on it. Great for those holiday mornings when the house is full of family, or if your at my house, every other week.
Tip: if your toothpick pulls out wet with batter let it bake another 10 minutes.

Banana Pecan Bread

1 stick of butter (room temperature)
1 1/2 Cups of sugar
1 1/2 Cups of flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 cup of milk
1 tsp vanilla
squirt of lemon juice
2 dotted ripe banana’s
1 Cup of Pecan Pieces

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

In a bowl, let butter come to room temperature and cream butter and sugar together. Add flour and baking soda and mix lightly. In a small bowl, combine eggs, milk, vanilla and lemon juice and mix well. Mash bananas with a fork and add mixture and bananas and mix well with a kitchen spoon for at least one minute. Finally, add the pecans and coat with mixture. Spray a bread pan with butter spray and bake in oven for 55 minutes. Check with a toothpick, if done, let cool and remove from pan and place on serving dish. Bon Appetite!! Good food, Good friends! Chef Dief
